Initial consultations for the development of the National Climate Change Policy of Myanmar taking place 16-21 December in Nay Pyi Taw
The MCCA is supporting the formulation of a National Climate Change Policy for the Union of the Republic of Myanmar. This Policy will build on the work undertaken over the last 15 months to develop the Myanmar Climate Change Strategy & Action Plan (MCCSAP) with the aim of articulating the legal arrangements to ensure its implementation.
Initial consultations for the National Climate Change Policy will be kicking off in Nay Pyi Taw from 16-21 December. Consultations will be led by the National Climate Change Policy team composed of legal experts, who will gather technical inputs and strategic guidance for formulation of the Policy. The team will be holding scoping discussions and meeting with heads of key sectors covered in the MCCSAP and the Technical Working Group.
The MCCA team values any other inputs into the Policy formulation in order to ensure it meets the needs of all concerned stakeholders. If you would like to be involved in these consultations and provide input into what the National Climate Change Policy should look like, please get in touch with the MCCA team through firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure that we can catch your perspectives.
